Why does this guy look like a bad Han Solo clone?

I guess in the future they cure cancer, to the point that tobacco is no longer bad for you.

His name is Elnor. He is from Rivdel Prime and needs the help of Picard the Grey and his crew of the U.S.S. Fellowship.

Re: Star Dreck
Watched Errand Of Mercy today aka the first appearance of the Klingons. Whilst the design is obviously dated, the performance of John Colicos as Kor is pitch-perfect. He pretty much defines the race single-handedly and all of his "commander to commander" scenes with Kirk, where they muse over the seemingly treacherous and cowardly Organians they're forced to fight over are awesome.
It's the comparisons made between Starfleet and the Klingon Empire that are really fascinating to me, and I love the sheer balls the show has by having Kirk himself get so caught up in the conflict that he demands back the power to engage in war. This is definitely one of the best episodes so far, and one of the best Klingon episodes I've seen in the franchise.

I keep saying TOS gets unfairly shit on for being cheesy. It is cheesy, but it had more balls than a lot of the later shows. And TNG has hardly aged well. Its special effects for the time it came out were far worse than TOS' were.
The Romulans are also great in the original series.

What's wrong with being cheesy? Much like classic Doctor Who, the writing quality and characters shine, and cheesiness is just part of the appeal.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2020 2:08 amI keep saying TOS gets unfairly shit on for being cheesy. I have the remastered DVD box set of TOS, which are quite nice, but I wish there was an option to see it without the new CGI like they do on the DW DVDs.
