Cool watch, I’m still using an old watch my grandpa gave me, it’s an automatic seiko from 1959 and so far I haven’t had problems with the old mechanism besides one check up.
They are pretty indistructable if you get them serviced when problems arise. Oils can dry out and moisture will eventually find it's way into the watch but they are pretty tough. But as a Casiofag I can't be too fond of Seiko.
After one whole day my watch gets a couple minutes delay, no big deal but soon I’ll take it for another check up.
I guess it's too bad money can't buy taste. I've seen plenty of bad collections but even Kanye, who's got maybe the ugliest custom-made watch I've ever seen, has an overall better collection.

Yeah it shouldn't be that far off. Even an old Seiko movement should go somewhere around +-30 seconds at worst. Seiko doesn't demand all that much for a full service so you should eventually take it to an AD or send it in to have it fully disassembled.
If you want to preserve the look make sure to stress that they shouldn't polish it or replace the dial. May I ask what model it is?

It’s part of the 7006 variants, model of 21 jewels, the problem is that I have to go to the capital for maintenance, i try to avoid subhuman central but I’m accumulating several errands to do all that in just a few days.
