My aunt apparently stopped by my mother's house and decided to let her know, nearly a decade after the issues started (even though she knew at least 5 years ago), that my intense intestinal pain is actually something that runs in my dad's side of the family.

One of the greatest tragedies of WW2 was that Eugenics were demonized and convicted as a pseudoscience. For example abolishing compulsory sterilization for retards is of course so progressive and muh hyman righteous and blah, but it's extremely stupid when looking at the big picture. Development aid and the resulting reduction in infant mortality on population-explosion areas will lead to brutal consequences in future. Yes, oh so very le progressimus, but what will happen when the carrying capacity of the world is exceeded? Who or what is the institution that'll make the decisions about who will be destroyed and who will be let to live? I surely hope that Marxism hasn't completely rot and weakened the west that day, otherwise it'll likely be China who'll make these decisions.

It's exactly because it's not pseudoscience that people are scared shitless of it. Universities are currently pushing some actual pseudoscientific shit for political reasons like denying most traits being hereditary like intelligence and natural talents and interests like boy being more into mechanics.
They sacrifice the truth at the altar of social science. What must not be can not be. They are so afraid of somebody reaching conclusions based on the truth that they rather actively suppress and deny it and make everyone uttering it a shunned individual.

That wouldn't be too awful if the west wouldn't also eradicate the social standards of behaviour. One isn't only not allowed to be considered superior for natural things like physique or intellect but neither for talent and other virtues.
I'm not in favour of eugenics. It becomes a headache when you consider who'd make the decisions and any authority is bound to be subverted and ineffective. Plus you'll always need people in many fields a genius would be bored to death at.
But giving everyone participation trophies and not even enforcing the normal rules of human decency is what will be the west's end.
