Nearly two years of dedicated service to a crappy job but still a job that I enjoy.
Suddenly have a few weeks of multiple ER visits resulting in them pumping morphine and various other drugs into my body.
Can't lift heavier things without it triggering pain so bad in the left side of my abdominal region that I'm left a shaking mess unable to even talk properly (no, this is not a joke).
Need doctor's orders to prove it.
HR makes it very clear that even with that doctor's notice I'm likely out of a job as a result of the issues because god forbid they move me to a less intensive position ("if you're calling in to the position that requires you to work entirely solo and lift heavy things for 4 to 8 hours a day what makes us think you won't call in to a position that has multiple other workers and doesn't require you to lift those things?").

Corporate America is the absolute worst. I used to wonder why people didn't give notice when they left a job. Now I get it.

I'm not on it at the moment. They only put 5mg into me at the time, along with... I think it was Benadryl and two separate anti-nausea medications. All of it was meant to dull the pain and also just put me to sleep for a little while in hopes that I'd just wake up after the pain had passed. Didn't work. Not only did I not fall asleep but I left in nearly as much pain as I entered in and was given muscle relaxers to take at home for a week which do nothing but make me nauseous and unable to function normally.

I know 5mg is probably nothing to someone in your position though so I bet I sound like a big ol' baby.

It's all relative. My first 5mg of Oxynorm (quick release) made me fall asleep for 7 hours xD

Trying to get my car towed to the place I normally take it to get it fixed and it's been over 2 hours and the niggers say "Oh it will be longer than that" so I had to cancel and wasted my time when I could of been working. Now I'm going to have to put in another request to get it towed and probably going to get the same towing company. If I do I might drive it as far as I can before it overheats and just put in a request away from my house.
