He's also very lucky that Michael is dead because if he said this about a living person he would be sued into oblivion
Yes, I agree there.
I do think the episode may have been a fantasy of Jackson's. He was a fan of Bart Simpson. He requested a story where he and Bart spend the night together and write a song. I don't know if he knew that Bart was played by a woman or not.

I don't really see how this could be a grooming tool. One could argue that the episode is one big commercial for Michael Jackson, and Michael Jackson turned out to be a shitty person. But they had accused pedo Dustin Hoffman and accused pedo Lena Dunham as guests and probably many other shitty people that I'm forgetting.

I believe Michael Jackson is guilty as hell, but I do not support the damnatio memoriae of media.

I would understand if they were to remove the episode based on some of the other shit he did like having sleepovers with kids or dangling his baby over a hotel balcony, but the reason is pure bullshit.

Jean's thinking, apparently, is that Michael would show kids the episode, use it to gain their trust and then have his way with them.

Jean's a tremendous piece of shit. Accusations about Michael were around for years before this piece of shit documentary came out, as I've said before. He was first accused in 1993, two years after the episode aired. He went to trial in 2005. In all this time, none of the prick Simpsons producers said shit. They never pulled the episode before now. They put it on the DVD in the first place, and on digital. Now Jean's saying he thinks Michael used the episode to groom children. Well, he's a bigger piece of shit than Michael Jackson, that's for sure. If the accusations are true, he allowed the episode to be used to victimise children and held his shit for thirty years. If the accusations are untrue, then he's making strongly libellous claims about the man for his own personal attention, presumably just to get eyeballs on a product that hasn't been relevant in twenty years. Either way, in my mind he's worse than Michael Jackson

I think maybe it's just sheer virtue signalling for Brooks and Jean.
But was a Twitter mob even asking for Micheal Jackson's yimakh shemo ve zikhro?

Of course it is. What else could it be? I mentioned before how the box sets of Simpsons season 3 are completely sold out, which I suspect was their ploy all along. They make a big to-do of pulling the episode from airing and maybe talking about taking it off the DVD, and it generates interest in the product that hasn't been there in years whilst still allowing them to look 'sensitive'.

Michael Jackson's been selling a ton of records since this documentary dropped.

I don't know, but I've been on the internet long enough to guess

Jean probably didn't believe the accusations before, but the new documentary convinced him.

I remember when this episode aired, MJ was already past his prime and kids at school were making fun of him for being a weirdo. The commercial for the episode said something like "The Simpsons meet a white guy who thinks he's Michael Jackson!" I remember hearing that and I had forgotten that Jackson used to be black. Jackson appearing in the most popular show with kids at the time probably got him some new fans. A couple of Jackson's music videos debuted attached to Simpsons episodes as well.

I definitely don't agree with the decision to remove the episode from the DVD. Disney has released old Mickey Mouse cartoons containing blackface gags on DVD and simply included a disclaimer before these cartoons. They could just add something like that before "Stark Raving Dad" on The Simpsons DVD instead of deleting the episode.

There's nothing to believe though. They're exactly the same as all the previous allegations, the difference is that now, in addition to having the media on blast 24/7, you've got Twatter outrage mobs as well who believe that Michael should be unpersoned because of a stupid as shit documentary where people cried on camera for four hours. A documentary which is actually tellingly lacking in any kind of evidence.

Such a disclaimer would be highly unnecessary.

Michael has never actually been proven to be a paedophile. Putting a trigger warning (because that's basically what it is) before the episode because the producers now magically believe him to be a paedophile would be almost as stupid as cutting the episode entirely

I don't think they should be putting trigger warnings on those old Disney and Warner cartoons either. People should realize they're really old cartoons from the 30's and '40s and judge them as such. But people are idiots, and there are "journalists" that literally make a living off of outrage now. And then the useful idiot sheep read these articles and rush to Twitter and parrot that person's talking points.

That's why you have to pay a token black like Whoopi Goldberg to give you her blessing to watch the cartoons. (After a lecture about racism of course.)

I hope those old Disney cartoons get a proper live-action remake, to cash in on the current trend for woke casts.

This is just autistic double-downing. It's not enough that the episode be removed because Micheal is haram now, oh no. The episode itself must be the tool of the Orange Man.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.
