Comedy's in an odd place right now. A lot of comedians don't like PC bullshit but at the same time a lot of them probably don't realise they're partly responsible for creating the environment that led to the PC bullshit in the first place.

I dunno. I think George Carlin might've been sort of what I was talking about. I mean, don't get me wrong, I think he's hilarious. But he would talk about how much he hated political correctness and politically correct ideas, and then in almost the next breath talk about what a racist country America is. Chris Rock is almost the same way. It's rather telling that, when he complained that universities are too PC and that's why he doesn't play them, he described college students as being too 'conservative'.

Comedians are only against politically correct culture in as much as SJW twats try to tell them what they can and can't joke about, and they don't like that.

America is a pretty racist country. It's hard to deny that if you've ever spent any time in, say, Mississippi. PC culture is out of control as well, though, and to a much more intense degree. It is possible for both things to be true at the same time. Which is why Carlin was so effortlessly able to swing from one to the other. If you look at things objectively the the ultimate conclusion is that everything sucks from all angles.

Whybother is right, but Carlin also had some pretty hard-left leanings. He was part of the liberal hippie drug culture IIRC and still had that part of him that believed everything wrong was the fault of some conservative religious christfag somewhere. He wasn't PC, but he was definitely far left in that '60s-70s hippie way.
