Now a white guy with connections to Hollywood is attacking a wahman for NOT liking STD? Does not compute! NPC hard drive overloading!Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 5:51 amThe son of the guy who played Captain Pike in the original Star Trek pilot is harassing a woman who doesn't like Star Trek Discovery. He was a white cis male from the last century. Of course he was.
On a more serious note, Star Trek is quickly becoming #NotMyFranchise. I knew there was cringe before, but now it's getting too autistic.

Going agains the hivemind made her an honorary man, so it's okay to harass her online.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 7:38 amB-b-but I thought it was those ebil trolls who complained about SJW's in Star Wars and Star Trek who hated wahmen! Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

The cringe started on Next Generation. It usually only got worse from there.
...and still: Spoony did nothing.
Re: Non-cape tv show
Awful just awful. The Superbowl ad was pimping season 2 as the untold story of Spock or something, with some soyboy loser cosplaying with pointed ears. Kind of weird since all the trailers so far have focused on woke blackness Michael.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 5:51 amThe son of the guy who played Captain Pike in the original Star Trek pilot is harassing a woman who doesn't like Star Trek Discovery. Also, CBS thought it was a good idea for the cast of STD to sing a song from that AIDS musical that people pretended to like in the 90s. (Even Linday Ellis hates the AIDS musical.)
Obligatory Team America AIDS song reference

Wokeness can't compete with the Vulcan privilege.
And who cares about a "Spock Starts" storyline?

Isn't the 2009 Trek movie basically "Spock starts"?
What's there more to start? Dude already works on the Enterprise, doesn't he?

The 2009 movie are barely the characters. Although it's going to seem like Citizen Kane after STD gets through with them

I didn't mind it too much as a reimagining. Into Darkness and Beyond never really capitalised on the potential, though.
