I'm more scared of anyone who actually still watches the show. Like, regularly.mad bum wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 1:20 am

The show is still pulling in a ton of viewers, sure it's not as good as the early seasons, but remember there is SOOOOOOOO many different ways to watch entertainment now that it's bound to happen even if it was good.
...and still: Spoony did nothing.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks so.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 3:50 pmCastlevania is absolute dogshit
Probably that capeshit writer Warren Ellis' fault.
I think they tried to copy Game of Thrones' "drama over action" style, except the acting sucks and they're not George R.R. Martin.

I always wanted GoT politics in my series about male Dominas whipping Skelliemans while rad music plays in the background.

It was written years before Game of ThronesLiar Revealed wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 6:05 pmI think they tried to copy Game of Thrones' "drama over action" style, except the acting sucks and they're not George R.R. Martin.
The problem with it, other than the fact that it's dull as fuck, is the writer has clear contempt for the material. For example, he cut Grant the pirate from the adaptation because, in his opinion, DaNasty was a stupid name and there were no pirates in 15th Century Romania, according to him

Re: "Cartoons"
I'm pretty sure there were no vampires in 15th Century Romania.
I played the 8-bit games a little bit back in the day. I never beat them and remember almost nothing about whatever "story" they had.
I was just hoping for something more fun akin to Vampire Hunter D.

I mean, dude, it's based on a game with four playable characters. You had like one job.
It was more of a 16th Century fad.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 8:23 pmI'm pretty sure there were no vampires in 15th Century Romania.

Re: "Cartoons"
The pirate comment was particularly stupid because if you read Bram Stoker's Dracula, he gets to England by boat. That's how he travels from place to place, by boat. It's not infeasible he'd come into contact with a pirate, all this stuff is in the novel.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 8:23 pmI'm pretty sure there were no vampires in 15th Century Romania.
Well, I submit that this was unrealistic expectation for two reasons:Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 8:23 pmI was just hoping for something more fun akin to Vampire Hunter D.
1) It wasn't made by the Japanese but rather by bakayaro gaijin, one of whom I can't remember if he was the one who gave Ultimate Doctor Doom goats' legs and made his real name Victor van Damme, or not
2) It's a franchise for which the owners care absolutely nothing about to the point that any old joe just came up to them and said 'We want to make a movie/netflix show' and they just said 'Sure, whatever' and that was that.
Well, technically it only has two playable characters at a timeVoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Mon Oct 29, 2018 8:28 pmI mean, dude, it's based on a game with four playable characters. You had like one job.
