I think you misunderstand about Chris. He's not violent like that. He has boundary issues and is incapable of considering the consequences of his actions, or how his actions affect other people but he's not generally a violent person. He won't stab or shoot anybody to death, he won't rape anybody. If he were capable of rape he'd have done it by now. He's more likely to die on the streets of exposure, or be killed himself, than he is to kill anybody.

Look, understanding why he is the way he is or not doesn't change the fact that he almost hit someone with his car more than once. Someone who made him angry. An action that could have killed or severely injured them.
Chris not understanding the consequences of his actions is the exact reason he'll haul off and do something stupid once he's on his own and has nobody in his personal life to ground him. No matter how crazy his mother is she's all he has and he's aware of this.

For crying out loud, he's already dumb enough to slice open his taint and claim it's a vagina. That's not harmless idiocy any more than attempting to run someone over is.
