I'm not really interested in the movie, but any promotion materials I saw made me think that it will be exactly as 'exploitative' as the show, so Allison's review will be just SJW shit.

Agree 100%. There's always a brief period of time where you both feel each other out to see if you can hook up. If you don't end up in a sexual relationship, she will eventually hook up with another guy and forget you even existed.

M-F platonic friendships don't last. I had so many female friends in high school and college, and they are long gone. Some of the girls exist in a spectral form-- Facebook friends. Their images linger on my computer screen, but they've become wives and mommies and are not the person I knew anymore. The most contact I have with them is maybe they "Like" a post I made.

Seeing Baywatch get rebooted as a movie feels weird. What's next? Dallas? Knight Rider? I'm sure the latter is just begging for a deep character study movie where he doesn't actually get in the car until the last 15 minutes.
