Almost half a year and just now they are starting putting it together? Cool I guess, i was never their biggest fan of theirs, but I completly lost interest, and aparently, so did they, I was just wainting for the guy to say after this episode, they were done with DBZ.

It is more than understandable, it must be a creative drain to have to do this shit for over 10 years, and they want to make their own projects. And I get why they are still sticking with DBZ, because they don't wanna do like Doge, and screw themselfves with Demo reel just to have to crawl back to the nostalgia critics, baby ands baths and all that.

But, shitty thing is, everybody knows that their patreon money, which is quite the sum, is for DBZ, is what people want from them, and cool, they can do their games and other dubs, but nobody really likes those, and that is because they are quite shite. The game is a smash rip off without online multiplayer or even a single player mode, so unless you have someone else with you, you can't even play the thing....

To this point, this whole DBZ abridged just comes off as crappy fanfiction. And now they are saying they want to animate their own scenes? And under a couple of months? It is going to look like shit, whenever they put their own graphic, it looks amateur, so why even have them in the first place?

If you are going to riff the series, then riff the series, don't make your own, otherwise you are just making a ton of work that won't pay off, because people are here to see Dragon ball with the funny voices, that is all.

I kinda feel bad for these guys, they want to create, but they are pidgeonholed on a cage of their own design, but either A- honor the patreons and give what they are paying for (and we all know what that is) and suck it up and do your side projects on the side, or B- Pull the plug, thank people for their time, sit down and create your projects, and be sure theiy stand on their own in quality, don't have people going for them because "we support it, so we can have more abridged"

If DBZ is the thing keeps the ligths on, then you gotta work on it, but if the interest isn't there anymore, just be upfront with people, who are paying your for months with nothing to show. Right now Team 4 stars are doing games and dubs and all that shit they want because they know the idots are going to keep paying as far as they have a distant promisse of DBZ, and that is kinda scummy...

Making a living off DBZ itself is scummy. Like literally copy and pasting your favorite Orange Bricks into Premier while some literal fags talk over it, it's at that level. DBZA should have ended a long time ago, it's mediocre internet content thats aged like milk.

They should've never tried to make a "business" out of their abridged show. That's not a solid foundation at all.

No online multiplayer? Nice, this is starting to sound better and better!

I guess it can be passable by DBA standards if they just do their old trick of having moving mouths over static pictures of dudes.
Things will probably get ugly if they try to animate actual fight scenes.

Their Smash clone was already laughable but no solo play and no online multiplayer is just icing on the cake.

The fact that they've taken this long to even really get started on episode 60 is telling-- they don't want to keep doing DBZA and, beyond that, they don't want the legal trouble that doing DBZA has brought them over the years to continue to smack them in the face every time they upload a new episode. Very much agree that they need to just throw in the towel and be honest about it instead of dangling DBZA behind all of their other, "projects."

I was actually thinking about abridging while I was taking a quick shower before work the other day and I remember thinking to myself that the reason the original DBZA caught on was that they took the plot and characters of DBZ and they poked fun at it. Sometimes (most of the time) they made meme references, and such, but overall you could watch the original 30 episodes of DBZA and walk out knowing the general gist of what happens in DBZ as well as get a general idea of the personality of most of the characters (SEE: Raditz constantly referencing space since Toriyama had to make it painfully clear that he was from space).
Over time they flanderized their characters so much that now they're basically creating their own series. I love how Kaiser Neko doesn't even know how they're going to handle the, "Goku is a bad dad," thing considering the scenes that are coming up in the Cell fight. Really makes you wonder how much effort they put into actually abridging rather than thinking up, "funny jokes."

You look at their other projects and you see some of the same problems. You see them far worse in the FF7 one, though.
"We'll follow the general plot but make entirely new characters that fit into our, 'hilarious comedy.'"
I remember watching the first few episodes of it and wondering who they were supposed to be poking fun at. Cloud doesn't resemble Cloud, Aerith doesn't resemble Aerith, Barret is generic black guy, Tifa is overly angry for no reason, Red XIII sounded like an idiot.

The reason the youtube abridging scene was fun, at first, was because they poked fun at the dumb plot points and character aspects. None of them realize this, apparently, and have decided that esoteric humor isn't good enough so they have to make terrible, "Chi Chi totally raped Goku," jokes.

You can't force stuff like that. They're kinda boring. It's like Angry Joe, who cares?

Work that could've been done in about one year stretched over a ten year period more like.
