It would at least relegate it to a place where it belongs. Back the the darkest reaches of deviantart, embedded hard in some fetish category, which is entirely what it is.

As I remember that was the first assessment from people who cared about it: "She is at least bi and maybe a lesbian".
Though it really wasn't something that surprising, there was some commercial for overwatch with her and Widowmaker that gave me that vibe.
Though the 'community' around the game is one of the hardest to please, the latest thing I heard was when they gave an police officer reskin to D.Va . A pollice officer ? Police brutality, that cannot stand, outrage and all. Though the opression economics did actually gave that a pass because she is female and from Korea. Bottom line, there always will be something to bitch about.

Isn't D.Va a cop? I thought that was her whole origin story. Former pro gamer who became a mecha cop.
