This is where I'll interject because I've thought about this for years after deducing voting needs prerequisites/qualifications.Kugelfisch wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 1:13 pmWho would get to decide who gets a vote anyway? That's just an open invitation to corruption.
I thought at one time the answer to be AI. However, even that is subject to corruption and bias through the elite tampering with it, or being the ones to create it.
There really is no system better that what America started as; a system of checks and balances designed to regulate itself through voting.
But then you get back to where we are now with corrupt leaders giving women rights and letting illegal aliens vote for them in exchange for perks. The education system in America is in shambles. The age of teaching people to question everything is long over.
This a cyclical problem. How to break it? That would require enough people to think for themselves, granted that's a contradiction when people have different goals, but it was never about choosing one person's vision.
The single vision all free thinking people SHOULD have is to protect each other's rights to be what they want as long as it doesn't violate the basic principles of Life. Freedom. And pursuit of fulfillment. Of others.
This being said, I think im a Libertarian. The party itself does fuckall, but that's another story.
