Phil obviously is too much of a wimpy narcissist that requires constant validation and instant gratification to be able to even grasp at the concept of "overcoming a challenge". And his frail ego requires him to bitch and moan about every minute thing that happens and makes his gameplay less than perfect (as if he was capable of perfect gameplay to begin with).

I barely watch gamer streams anymore, last one I watched wouldn't stop screaming "Like and Subscribe!" every 10 fucking seconds. Got to the point a guest game dev left because no one could hear him over the big mouth.

Unfortunately, that's not only with streamers, but it's an Youtube cancer in general. There are still a couple of streamers who don't do that, but you have to sift through a lot of these view whores to get to them.

I have to wonder if that shit ever works. All it does is make their videos unwatchable. I hate being told to like, favorite, donate and scrubscribe to their shitty vidya. If I wanted to, I would have done it already. YouTubers treat their audiences like they are literally retarded.

Like, favourite and sub shit is obnoxious I agree and most people do that. However I do think there is a line, or more like several hundred lines, between that and what Phil does. Not only does he reee about views, tips and subs constantly but he chastises his viewers if he doesn’t get the numbers he hopes for. I’ve honestly never seen that before in anyone. Granted I don’t watch streams apart from lolcows, and even then only for a few minutes at a time, but in all my time sperging about Nobodies and ebegging Phil is the only one to turn that shit up the way he does.

It would be sweet justice if he did get canned for begging and throwing charity drives for himself but I don’t see it happening. At least not yet. They might if it got picked up by the media and started reflecting badly on Amazon but Phil alone is too irrelevant for him to get that sort of attention. Maybe if it spreads and becomes a more common thing among other streamers the press would pick it up. Until then twitch will happily sit back and take their cut from Phil’s fundraisers. Terms of service can be surprisingly flexible when shekels are involved.
