Re: Doge Walker and Channel Awesome
I think the real irony is Doge actually hired "real actors" here instead of sticking to his amateur talent that got him popular in the first place.

They are about as much actors like lots of chicks are "models". Just because one's got a headshot doesn't make anyone more of an actor like carrying a five year expired condom in his wallet doesn't make Blob not a virgin.

Mid 2011 for me, for a while I was merely watching out of habit at that point (despite already being a DHI sperg for nearly a year) but I knew I hadn't found his stuff funny for a long ass time. At one point I thought "if I don't laugh at this episode I am done", but just before that they let on Erod. Now on 1.0, Assiman found out about this prick when he was a TGWTG Reject, and he was an ebegging shitbag. The guy made a video whining about how he is SOOOO POOOOR and he needed $100 to make each one of his reviews. The typical ebegging shit where he acted like he was starving and needed money when he was doing fine.da PAC Nigguh wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2017 2:52 pmI stopped sometime in late 2011. I just couldn't stand the screaming fits and the stupid shooting gun in the air gag over and over.
This video was a few months old at the time, and Assiman made a video mocking him about it which was later posted on Busy Street. When confronted, the prick said that he was on welfare at the time when he made it. Assiman asked him why the video was still up then, and he immediately took it down. A few months later Assiman left a smart ass comment on his channel saying "hey there, you still ebegging" and I can't remember what he replied with specifically but the message I got was "I don't regret doing what I did".
Once that cunt was on TGWTG, I was pissed enough to stop watching Doge and co. I saw that as a complete endorsement of ebegging your fans for shit, since others like Sean ebegged AFTER getting on the site. Never mind the fact that he was so terrible that Sad Panda made a video mocking him right after he joined, and the fucker had black bars in his videos for years, but this to me pointed out how scummy the company really was.
And a few years later, that scummy IndieGoGo campaign happened to likely pay off their debts.

Re: Doge Walker and Channel Awesome
Doge was an on and off deal for me. Whereas Spoony, Linkara, Lindsey and others I'd check out all the time, after a few weeks I'd get bored with NC and stop watching. Then a a few months later I'd check out what he'd been up to and enjoy some of it, and then stop again. I was going to quit forever with Demo Reel, until I found out he brought the Critic back. I checked the South Park and some other episodes out but the bitterness was too strong for me, it was clear he was pissed he had to do this review gig again. So I gave up around early 2013 and never went back.

Re: Doge Walker and Channel Awesome
Last NC-related video from Doge that I saw was a Commentary for the Devil review. I didn't really saw the movie, but the review was a terrible piece of shit, nothing but former NC characters, nothing but overused memes, shitty never ending plot twist endings, It was a Shyamalan's movie (by which I mean he was a producer) so it's a twist, it's a twist. The commentary though was the biggest circle jerk I ever was misfortunate to experience; there were Douge, his brother, their father and some other guy. They talked about this shitty review as if it was a masterpiece. Before this I did realise how much the new NC became DemoReelized, how shit TBF was but only after this It got to me, that they think of themselves as great artists, masters of satire and parody. How far from reality they detached themselves. I was unable to watch any other of his videos. I probably clicked on some 'editorials' if they had a clickbaity enough title.

Yeah the character of the NC was always portrayed as such, but I thought it was part of the act, not that they really think of themselves as high as that IRL.

To be honest, I've always thought the NC was at least partially based on Rob.

Rob has co-written almost every NC episode so that makes sense.
Also, I forgot that NC premiere at that movie theater happened the other day. Did any superfan film it? I'm curious what the turnout was.

Just wait and see whether Channel Awesome will mention the event or not.
I guess they slept through a few classes of drama school?
