My interest dropped hard after his return. The intro, the skits and the padding (thanks to the skits) was just too much for me. And those editorials were just awful.
I think the last straw was some review were the skits just kept repeating the same boring joke in slight variations (because it was so funny the first time around). It was so bad that I can't even tell anymore what the review was actually about, though I guess it was The Wiz or some other Oz-related movie because the skit involved the Wicked Witch of the West.
The Commercials video?
The commercials is the only thing I still like, because I enjoy things like dino drac that talk about that stuff.

I think the best example of Doge being awful is probably his Matrix reviews. That whole, "look at me, I'm such a special snowflake, I don't like The Matrix (and clearly I'm the only one so you should listen to me, seriously, do it)."

There actually was another guy shitting on the Matrix before Doge did. That Ian Robinson guy that I occasionally sperge about, but he never really made a youtube video series/elaborate blogpost about it. He also shit on Temple of Doom too.

BTW, when was it that you stopped watching dog walker?
Sometime after the 3rd Anniversary Special. But I first sensed something was wrong when during his Twins review he realized he had nothing to work with so did about 5 minutes of "being bored" and it was fucking excruciating. Not too long after that Kickassia happened and holy fuck was that a wakeup call.

He may have caught it at the same Bilderberg-Illuminati meeting as Prince Albert in a Can. I guess lizardmen aren't immune.

When there were crossover fights. I didn't remember Richard Roper play fighting with Ebert to prove his point about a movie being good or not.

It's interesting, but there are some problems. He makes it seem like the Indiegogo was done during Demo Reel but the Nostalgia Critic was back at this point. What's really puzzling is that he says that Doge didn't run back immediately to the Nostalgia Critic after it was obvious Demo Reel wasn't working, which is practically the opposite of what happened. The first episode of Demo Reel was released in October of 2012, and "The Review Must Go On" (his video announcing the return of the Nostalgia Critic) was released in January of 2013.

I do find it interesting he indicates a major difference between Doge and the contributors he's going to cover is schedule, because for whatever criticisms you could make of Linkara, not hitting a schedule, at least in his main series, isn't one of them. I suppose he could skip over Linkara, which would seem odd as he's so prominent, but if he wants to focus on the goofs they made as producers, most of the dirt about Linkara is unrelated to his actual video series and occurred before the fact. It's not like Spoony where his problems are intrinsically linked with his content, or rather, his lack of it.

I'll be honest here, i kept watching his videos when he came back until early 2014, though i sort of stopped keeping up, watching every other video or so (fuck those editorials) until the Alice in Wonderland review, that's when i finally stopped making excuses for the damn skits

Yeah, he does keep up a schedule and put effort into his review, they still suck but it has that effort filled suck you can't help but respect. Don't forget the "Pay my Biiths!" adblocker video he put out, and his feminist hypocrisy whenever Lupa got shitcanned.

Good. I hope that was the straw that broke the camel's back for a lot of TGWTG fans. The skits in that shit are the majority of the fucking video and they're unbearable.

Agreed. I've always watched him because he was talking about bad/silly movies and made fun of them, not because of his annoying high pitched voice he likes to do (because comedy lul, funnily enough, he criticized this many times in movies and shows, namely Sonic cartoon), or because of these shitty, unfunny skits.

He couldn't make demo reel success, but since he's delusional, that wouldn't stop him, so instead of admitting that he is a terrible comedian, he started including them into his popular show, making it shittier and shittier until he eventually alienated everybody who liked the old format. He just doesn't have it in him to make a good, original content, and he's never been willing to learn how to improve. Denial is every nobody's strongest weapon.

I haven't watched any of his new shit in years, I simply don't care. He is a failure and will never be even remotely successful as some of the worst directors he made fun of. Tommy Wiseau may be a scumbag asshole, but he's far more relevant than Doge will ever be. Imagine how sad that is.

I stopped sometime in late 2011. I just couldn't stand the screaming fits and the stupid shooting gun in the air gag over and over.
Is Spoony dead yet?

Yeah Doge criticises the shit out of directors and movies, yet look at the "movies" he's produced. They are absolutely embarrassing.

However I'm going to offer a contrary opinion here, I actually prefer Nostalgia Critic as it currently is, as opposed to his earlier work which is full of constant memes (chuck norris), repeated clips (of course) and in-jokes (timing). That's not to say I like the skits, I guess I'm saying I find them less annoying than the previously mentioned stuff. I'd rather he had no skits at all, but I guess he's obligated to use black dude and fat girl somehow.
