Considering Japan just got more xenophobic this past election, I'm sure that's the point.
If being xenophobic means keeping marzgunt out of your country, I'm all for it.

I thought NZ doesn't let you in if you don't have a real job.

I think it's diverse people like Johnny Somali who are at fault here.
Bar for entry is just too high. Considering Japan just got more xenophobic this past election, I'm sure that's the point.
After doing some research, it seems they've initially set the bar a bit too low and attracted a bunch of baka gaijin grifters and undesirables.
Not that they would ever let her in with the way she constantly calls them racist every time she brings up their country.

I'd say give it a year or two, and she will claim that the only reason she didn't go was because of the xenophobia.
I'm not totally opposed to moving to Canada, but I would need to be convinced that I would not catch pneumonia every winter, because even in southern California I get deathly ill for two to three months at a time during the cold and the rain. Help me solve that, and you might have a deal.
Making fun of their weather. That ought to make them like you.
I'd have just about jumped right on Canada's self employment visa, but apparently it's been so damn popular that it's closed until January 2027. Past that, I honestly don't know what I'd do. Can't stay without a job.
You will never have high enough a priority to get that visa.
And how about finding a job in your own country?

How many gigs would she even get in other English-speaking countries that she couldn't get in the USA? Do they all do their own CC work or something?
As far as climate is concerned, New Zealand would be the winner for me. As far as where I know the most people already, that'd be Canada. I only know maybe one to two people in each of the other largely English-speaking countries.
There are more CA Cucknadian dwellers outside of Lupa and Phealous?
Canada, you've got shows that need closed captions, too, right? I'll totally commit to remembering to spell various words with the letter u in them and everything. I just need that work visa. You provide the visa, I provide you with captions that include words with an extra letter u in them.
You're one of the last people who should make fun of how other people talk.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.
