I never saw the appeal in Blues Brothers. It's not funny and reeks of Reddit.

You have to love the Blues, or at least enjoy the culture. The movie is best when it plays with moments like this:



When the legends are allowed to play and you just listen to them and soak in the atmosphere of what makes the Blues. I don't think all of the Belushi jokes are funny. But the music is a greatest hits of American soul, blues and big band.



Edit: Oh yeah, and it was an opportunity for some of the greatest legends of blues to immortalize themselves in a performance that could stand for all time.
