Fucking cinema trailers, man.

The How to tame your Dragon live-action remake looks very meh. The outfits from the CGI version look ridiculous and cheap in live-action, and Toothless is basicaly the same model with fancier textures, which also doesn't look very good in live-action.
Also the fucking trailer basically condenses the entire plot for some fucking reason. Really just missing the bit where the protag loses his leg.

Maybe i'm confusing it with something else, but i believe the husband in this one is a brutal gangster like Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet, he spends every second of screen time he has treating the wife like trash even before she starts the affair, he tortures the lover to death, and in the end the wife makes him eat the lover's cooked flesh at gunpoint and then kills him.
It was boring anyway.

You should watch them. It's dry sort of slapstick. A completely lost art and some of the last actually funny movies ever made.

Hot Shots and Scary Movie 3 are good.

Scary Movie 3 might be the last good movie a Zucker was associated with.

Double post, but Jurassic Park is S tier Spielberg.

I didn't vibe with Close Encounters (its ok), I get why people like ET, but I think postmodernism killed it for me. The worst is Stranger Things explicitly stealing the first few minutes from it.

I'd put Jurassic Park maybe tied with Jaws (its been a while, I remember Jaws being an actual perfect movie) and Raiders on top. That'd be my S tier.

I like how Jurassic Park portrays Hammond. This seems to be a point of contention compared to the book. Hammond and the fact that they made Ian Malcolm hot and charismatic seem to be the big two. The fact that he sincerely believes in what he's doing doesn't mean he's not an arrogant rich guy, and the villain of the movie. I think what Spielberg is saying is that people fundamentally want to do what they think is right for the world. So, he's sincere, but still an out of touch rich guy. Allows Spielberg to play to kids who think Dinosaurs are cool, too. And so, a hit is born.

Hammond faces comeuppance, too. If I remember his coda in Lost World, the events in the first movie basically ruined him. Anyway, let's make five more sequels.

It's pretty much implied already in the original movie. Hammond repeats many time that "we didn't spare any expenses" (or something akin to that), and since the park is basically tits up at the end of the movie, the obvious implication is that his (((financiers))) are going to bleed his asshole dry.
