It bugs me that he says Travis doesn’t kill any black men when he kills one who is holding up a store. And I don't know, I read his passage about Taxi Driver where he was saying the pimps Travis was killing should've been black, and I really came away from that thinking he totally missed the point of that climax.
The point is the viewer is left in a state of discomfort, but a lack of sure footing as to what to think. On one end, this is a clear sign of Travis's mental deterioration; on the other, the men he's killing have it coming.
Making them all black clearly denotes what you should feel. If you're a DHI poster, its unrepentant glee - if you're a normie, you feel 100% uncomfortable.
