Somebody directly asked him on the recent stream about whether he owns the Nostalgia Critic IP or if he's stuck working with Michaud.

Doge said he could freely cut ties and keep the IP if he wanted to, but Michaud "lets him do whatever he wants" and appears to handle all the legal affairs (like getting the new studio, the sponsors etc).

Could just be PR talk I suppose, but he didn't seem awkward at all talking about it.

I can believe that. Based Michaud got did of The Grumbler and the rest of the parasites after all. No more need to do crossovers with troons and other mentally ill nobodies. Michaud was a blessing for Doge.
