Watched Nosferatu in cinema thought it was very good. I was expecting it to be weirder like the Lighthouse or Herzogs version but was a fairly straight forward gothic horror just with modern sex, scares and gore.

Lighthouse is his best but he’s 4/4 as far as great films go and he’s easily the best millennial director.

One thing I’ve noticed with his films is the Lighthouse is the only one you can question if anything supernatural actually happened. The rest make it obvious straight away monsters, gods, demons all exist and are causing everything that happens. Fuck your monster as metaphor here’s a bloodsucking demon from hell who is just evil again fuck you.

I'd say it would severely cheapen the premise of going batshit insane due to isolation if there actually was supernatural stuff going on.

Aside from the chassis type being developed three years after the events of the film, it was perfectly realistic, and a logical way of clearing the jungle.
