I mean, I get why Matsuri regulars get annoyed. The online spuds have a perverse obsession with that convention specifically. If I were them, I'd side with the guy that has routinely given the convention no trouble whatsoever, too.

There's definitely an appeal to "shut the fuck up and go away, Marz."
