Re: Movie Thread
I never watched the Conjuring series, so I was just going off of what the guest said or something.

Re: Movie Thread
The premise of the movie is that the Annabelle Doll has unleashed a selection of demons the Warrens have faced into their house one night. This is also the plot of the live action Scooby Doo movie by the way, and I'm not being glib, that's an actual thing. The Conjuring series has officially moved into a phase where its cribbing from Live Action Scooby Doo.
Anyway, the actual Warrens (who are frauds, yes, we know) claimed to have fought a "wolf demon" who was possessing a guy once. They wrote a book about. For what the Conjuring series is, at its core, the werewolf wasn't that out of place.

Re: Movie Thread
None of that werewolf shit was ever mentioned in that gay-ass shared universe though. It literally goes from "OMG spooky things are happening" to HOLY SHIT A CARTOON WOLFMAN IS JUMPING ON A DUDE'S CAR.
What an embarrassing franchise. I can't believe Patrick Wilson would whore himself out like this.

Re: Movie Thread
How about a werewolf movie, but instead of a werewolf you turn into a doll?
And there's a shared cinematic universe of horror movies out there? Fuck, even single horror franchise can't be arsed to check their continuity.

I'd watch that.Moe Bitches wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 1:29 amI don't know, it just seems weird I guess. It's like having Dracula in a Chuckie movie.

Re: Movie Thread
Werewolf movies always suffer from a lack of good special effects. It must be very difficult to craft a believable werewolf, whether from practical effects or CGI. I can't think of a werewolf movie where the wolf (heh) looked decent.

It's like none of the people working on werewolf movies are furries.

Wasn't American Werewolf in London pretty alright? I haven't seen it in decades.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 9:11 pmI can't think of a werewolf movie where the wolf (heh) looked decent.

Re: Movie Thread
I'm not talking about the movie being good, just if the werewolf effects hold up alright. I don't remember the effects for that one, but I think it still looked pretty bad.
EDIT: Just checked and it looks good artistically but still quite obviously fake. Sort of muppet-ish. At least they didn't use early CGI like Brotherhood of the Wolf. Which is a fine film with some hot-ass bitches in it, but the effects for monsters were dogshit.

Monster crossovers are a horror mainstay. Had the industry not "evolved" as much, we'd have had Leprechaun, Wishmaster and Freddy fighting the Mummy and the creature from the Black Lagoon.Moe Bitches wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 1:29 amI don't know, it just seems weird I guess.
