What's up with the old SNL guys being giant cunts?

It's funny when watching the DVDs, you can actually see their egos expanding episode by episode. (And their sinuses filling with cocaine.)

Episode 1 they're all, "aw shucks, we're happy to be here putting on a show for you" and by the end of season 1 Chevy Chase literally says, "I'm Chevy Chase, and you wish you were" without irony.

They probably believed they were geniuses or whatever the entertainment media was calling them at the time.

It is and was a good movie. It just comes from an era when good movies weren't uncommon.

The actual problem is, as it is so often, the retarded fandom. Someone making a band, sports team or franchise the centre of their universe is already super autistic. It's just all the more weird when it's based on a single movie.
I have no idea why this form of retarded spergery is deemed socially acceptable. It's like the terminal end stage of consoomerism. Truly disgusting!

The Spirit (2008)

Woah. It's rare to see anything this stupid done on such a large budget. What exactly was this supposed to be about? Was this something self aware, deliberately fucking silly parody of Sin City? Was this deliberately made so totally idiotic? The script and dialogue were like written by a ten-year-old with a developmental disability. The authors of this movie also had no idea about the rhythm and dynamics of the film, almost all the scenes dragged for far too long and no matter how crazy the imagery was that the film offered, it was still quite fucking boring. The movie is also PG-13, so no gore, no tits, just lame childish garbage. It was still somewhat interesting to watch through this total turkey, just to wonder how an utter pile of shit like this has ever gotten funding.
