Holy shit Mortal Kombat 2021 was forgettable. It's every Current Year cliché rolled into one big generic time-wasting package.
Remember when they made that dark Power Rangers fanfilm years ago as kind of joke because everything had to be grimdark and edgy, then movie studios decided it wasn't a joke and made a real grimdark Power Rangers movie? That's the same mindset behind Racyst Kombat.
Gay Blows Men and Scottish Plinker hate the 95 movie and hate you for liking it, but it's a masterpiece compared to this bullshit. The old movie was fun and entertaining; this is not fun and not entertaining. Instead of a grand MORTAL KOMBAT techno entrance, it's just some cliched boring family scene with dramatic music before the title appears over black. Characters are introduced with absolutely no energy; they just kind of show up in the scene then quickly disappear out of the scene. The fight scenes are the same overchoreographed bullshit with a thousand moves and none of them memorable that we've been seeing since The Raid. Compare that to the two 90s movies, which were packed with badass power moves that made the audience react (like Sub-Zera running up Scorpion in Annihilation then kicking him in the back of the head as he stepped over him).
Cole Young is a fanfic OC and he never stops feeling like it. This movie never once feels like you're watching a real Mortal Kombat movie. It's the video game cinema version of Picard and Star Trek Discovery; it feels like a cheap ripoff.
And it looks cheap too. Supposedly it cost $100 million but it looks like a Netflix movie where the budget went to tranny hookers and blow. The R-rating doesn't add anything either, since all the blood is obviously CG and whenever someone gets stabbed the blade just kind of disappears and what's left wobbles around like it's pasted on. It's really bad and nothing looks real.
The chick playing Sonya is cute but she's short and has no tits. Mileena is black for no reason at all, despite all of Outworld being Asian.
Holy shit this is movie is really Asian. Like impossibly, offensively Asian. Aside from Cole Young, all the Asian actors suck at English, some only a little while others sound like their first time speaking English was in the take the director used. The director, btw, is a virtue signaling white cuck, as are the producers. Johnny Cage wasn't included in the movie out of pure racism. Instead, they ignored the 70s kung-fu exploitation vibe the original game had going for it to make an ultra-serious racist movie filled with Asians and negroes and women with no tits.
tl;dr - If you ever wondered what a Netflix version of Mortal Kombat would be like, MK 2021 is it. Kitana will probably be black in the sequel since money no longer matters and Get Woke Go Broke is a fantasy.
