I know nothing about the game, but according to the behind the scenes the multi-ethnic crew that shows up at the end and have about two lines each before vanishing are major characters from the game. That made me chuckle. Just like in Resident Evil, everyone has to step aside for Paul Anderson's wife OC.

The stupid Chi-knees joke that nearly started a war is not in the movie. ChinaWood still self-censoring for their communist overlords.



It's even funnier because the guy who made the joke is Chinese.

What "major" characters from the game? You get like supporting characters in towns and shit, but 95% of them don't even have a real name, just a general nickname based on their profession.

The most major these ever got was in MonHun 4 where you would help out some other Hunter group during a handful of scripted battles. That's basically it.

What no MonHun game ever had and never will have, on the other hand, are human villains.

Some podcast was saying Amazon and Broccoli are at odds over who gets to choose the new Bond, which I guess means they wouldn't be just buying the MGM-produced movies but also the new ones. You just know they want Michael B. Jordan as Bond.

He was good in Casino Royale and Quantum, but that was when a lot of folk (myself included) were holding onto hope that he was the true successor to Timothy Dalton. Skyfuck really took a bizarre turn that is finally culminating in the death of the series this November.

On another note, and I guess it doesn't really matter now that character has been turned into a clown the likes of which even Roger Moore couldn't have dreamt, but they need to get a younger actor. Lazenby was 28, and Connery was 31 or so. Getting guys in their late-30s and 40s is ridiculous when there are 3-4 years between movies and they expect them to do five or six before retiring.

50-something James Bond is gay.

Fucking knew this would end with the monsters showing up in the real world. That's literally the only reason you would turn this into an isekai.
And you say the eeevil monsters are controlled by human bad guys? Can't wait for a shade-wearing Not-Wesker to be a smug bastard in the sequel
I'm also wondering if those bad guys belong to a shady company from the real world that has already known about this MonHun world for years and have somehow manipulated every action that Jovovich's character has ever done since...

And wikipedia tells me that Gore Magala shows up at the end. Aren't they getting a bit ahead of themselves?
Oh, I get it. It's because it spreads monster rabies. I wonder if Paul will use this to justify the inclusion of human rage zombies...

Like I said, probably the best part of the movie.

I watched this on DVD and it was fucking loud. Like I had to turn the volume sharply down anytime there was action onscreen. What a weird way of mixing a movie.

What's even more important is that they get an actor with higher testosterone than Pee-Wee Herman. When was the last time Bond slapped the shit out of a woman? The last i can remember was in GoldenEye where he knocked out that Dominatrix from the backseat, and even that was just a lame karate chop.
