It is serious, a shit ton of land was burned and the smoke haze is still an issue. A recent Tennis event in Victoria had players coughing badly while playing because they inhaled too much smoke, and over the past few weeks the smoke was shit all over Sydney.

We have had a drought over the past year which has made the issue worse. They are claiming that is because of climate change and those scummy activists have taken full advantage over it, some have tried their own impeachment movement to get the Queen to kick out our recently elected Cuckservative Prime Minister. They are still butthurt they lost last year.

I really don't know what to believe with all this. You have the Right claiming it's because of a lack of backburning pushed by green activists, you have Avi Yemini (Australia's Ben Shapiro) as well trying to tie it to Muslim arson (even though the only example he found was one lit in Sydney, even though the bad ones are on Sydney's outskirts and the south NSW coast) and recently they have claimed it has been because of arsonists.

On the left they are blaming it on Climate Change (while staying silent on China and deflecting when they are brought up, as usual), right wing parties at state and federal level (but they are heavily focused on the federal level because of election butthurt and our Prime Minister acting autistic) cutting funding to fire services and the current government allegedly ignoring warnings months ago that this would happen and not planning properly.

I will wait it out until the drama boils over to find out the truth because it has been politicised as fuck over here. Both sides are going to spread bullshit about this, but keep in mind that there was two freak days (just over a week apart) that this happened where it was over 45 degrees Celsius with very gusty winds that made these fires spread. The drought made the land dry which made it worse, that was an issue for a while and before the fires we heard constant stories of our farmers struggling because of it. Other than those two days where the temperature was insanely high the rest of our summer has been relatively normal.

It's been raining recently which has cleared up the air significantly.

Thing is, Climate Change is a big picture kind of thing. It's not going to make a big difference on x wildfire or x snowstorm. The main way it's been measured is with glacial melting, as I'm sure you know. We had terrible wildfires here in burgerland last summer as well, particularly in commiefornia.

But I could see how climate change will worsen wildfires every year, because gradual increases in temperature will make summers drier and wildfires more likely to start + more deadly when they happen. Climate Change also refers to a more general pattern of extreme weather, as a result of the erosion of the ozone layer. It's not STRICTLY heat.

I do think climate change ultimately exists, but I'm unsure to the extent it could have an impact on wildfires. I think the Left has a tendency to blame everything on climate change, whether or not that's appropriate. Does x amount of tiny increase in temperature really mean a 5000% increase in wildfire damage or whatever the fuck the number must be at now? Seems like a very (((convenient))) phrasing of a crisis so as to benefit lefty politicucks. I also seriously doubt there's anything practical that can be done to reverse or even slow climate change at this point. A lot of damage was done before we were born and most of the damage done now is way out of anyone's ability to control except the top 1% of global elites. Who don't care because they got theirs.

I mean, the best practical alteration to slow climate change would be to get everyone running on nuclear power, but the left won't ever allow that to happen because crunchy granola hippies think an atomic plant is the same as an atomic bomb.

I'm banking on the mudslime angle. It's hardly surprising that wildfires on average have more to do with Islam than with harmless carbon emissions.
