It's the same reason we don't hate PewDiePie. After the initial "how the fuck is THAT the most popular youtube channel" there is nothing to really hate since outside his channel he is fine. People acting like cunts is what drives sperg here, DHI didn't get big because we thought TGWTG kahntent was bad, it was because people were banned for pointing that out on their forums and the people at TGWTG acted like unprofessional dickheads and were egotistical shits.

Pretty much this. I'm probably never going to think Larry's videos are good. They look like total shit to me. But at least he's not an ungrateful cunt who acts like he's entitled to free fan money and ass-patting.

But no I only post my Patreon at the end of my videos, I don't shove it down people's throats. I not only feel awkward and guilty doing it, but I consider it a case of crying wolf too, one day I may genuinely need to ask for help and people won't be interested if I constantly beg.

I don't know if DHI realized this past decade of posting about shitty things nobodies have done, it may be for "teh lulz" as we used to say, but it's been a fantastic piece of education on how NOT to act on the internet too and I have learned from it.
