Edit: Just checked and the ads come up on my laptop for DSPgaming when I'm using my PC with adblock disabled. Not sure why they don't come up when I'm using another device.

I did see the same ad twice when reloading the video twice, so it could be he's just getting fewer ads on his videos. Maybe he doesn't get ads at all on his very short fighting game session videos.

That Laveria brat said that Phil's kwality kahntent is basically worthless for advertisement, since people will just jump around the (many) boring parts of raw, unedited bullshit and skip the ads along the way. He certainly gets fewer ads than Let's Players who do edit their streams before uploading them to Youtube.

The girl who came on before that said pretty much the same thing. She was a former laveria staffer who was working for a different MCN and knew quite a bit about the way youtube shit works. His content is worthless because it's all raw gameplay, which means it WILL eventually get hit with copyright strikes. Partnership won't save him there because he's not managed now and no MCN will risk putting him into managed because of the risk to the partnership company. He got very lucky with machinima.

Basically, putting a channel into managed is like vouching for them. If the channel does something wrong, it reflects badly on the MCN. Phil's quality content is very risky. He swears constantly, is very toxic overall and uses 99% copyrighted material in his videos. Only his image is owned by him-everything else is under the nebulous "fair use," which takes transformative nature (artistic expression) into account, and his videos are not transformative in any way.

He'll never get another managed partnership. Laveria promised it because they are scammers, but even they refused when he gave them KOgaming.

He had that Atlus copyright scare recently. If that hadn't been cleared up, it could have been the death of his channel. If he gets a strike, Curse WILL drop him because their partners are not allowed to have copyright strikes on their account.

There's also the issue of adsense. If YouTube, Google or some entity related finds out he used to be on adsense and was banned, he will get banned again on whatever new account he's using. And THAT will also fuck him right off of YouTube. The girl from Laveria said this. If they find out, he will just get banned again because you're only allowed 1 account per legal name.

DSP is relying on so many things to work JUST PERFECTLY RIGHT. It's insane. If any one thing goes wrong, he's done on youtube and all of his youtube channels will be dead.

I hope he sticks around. He's my favourite internet nobody by far. He's impossible to parody. You could go ahead and make a video trying, you'd fail. He's exactly as people say he is in every video. You are absolutely right. Sometimes when someone writes about him, you'd have some exaggerated reconstruction about it when you try reimagine it. Always turns it just as it was as you thought it was. It is really frightening sometimes.

It's almost scary that it's basically impossible to make a parody of him that comes across as less legit. You just can't.

And his complains are so predictable that you could easily make your own authentic DSP stream by just copy-pasting voice clips over new footage.

But clearly, he is such a savant at SSF2T that any deviation of the arcade-perfect norm he knows disrupts his Fang Chewie. Stupid scrublords at Capcom messing up the remake. There's nothing he could do!

They installed an anti-DSP algorithm. Everything works fine for everyone but him.
What I find especially annoying is when he does his whole fake laugh, clap and torrent of insult routine.
"Wooooow uhuhuhuhuhuuu *clap* congratulations! *clap* You won because of lag! You're soo gud at this gayme. What a fucking scrub!"
As if the guy on the other side of the internet was breaking out in sheer joy over beating hsi sorry ass, hears DSP calling it not legit and gets super sad over it. Phil would get the shit beaten out of him at any tournament.
