The newcomers in SFV are total crap, just like the game. The idea to bring all new characters this second season is retarded. Not only is it way too early for that because the roster is small and many classic characters are missing. No, they are also all absolute shit.
I know that only two of four have been released yet but judging by the two they are going to suck shit.

Think about this shit, right? You're Capcom, the OG Nintendo of the fighting game community. You built the competitive fightan game scene, basically. You're sitting on a gold mine of established, beloved fightan game characters.

And you think "oh hey, all the original characters we made for SF4 did so well, let's just make a bunch of new shit characters for SFV!"

Legit, the only reason I would ever get SFV would be to play motherfucking KARIN. There are people like that. Capcom needs a checklist. If your street fightan game is lacking any of these ("fringe/obscure") characters, put them in your game before you make a new character:

-Dudley
-Karin
-Mika
-Guy
-Cody
-Alex
-Gen
-Rolento
-Rose
-Sakura
-Yang/Yun
-Makoto
-fucking Q
-Literally anyone from Darkstalkers games

I'd take any of these characters, any day of the week, over all of the non-Juri new characters from SFIV. (And yes, I realize some of them are also in SFIV, I'm just saying that any of the ones NOT in would be better than all of the new characters.) It just makes sense that the Capcom of current year is going to hit duds way more often with these new characters than if they brought back a fan favorite. I mean, if you're going to put Karin in, you really have no excuse not to put all the rest of these guys in. I was convinced Alpha 3 would be the only Karin game for all time.

Same shit different month with crapcom, kolin comes out and everyone hype and she's about as bad as juri, then ed comes out and the hype train rolls only to have him mid tier at best. They need tekken balancing where everyone is viable and not hobby rog still being played with his-25 hp nerf.

Why play anyone else when all I need is two solid confirms with 50% life drops on each. Because he can't jump? Please that's what aa jabs are for.

I just found out SFV version of Juri has no divekick. What the fuck.

Yeah, and Juri has also stock her moves before being viable to make any damage, it sucks, I was hoping to main her, but it is every match with her is a uphill battle.

And what is funny about SFV is that the games is bare bones with the excuse to balance out for everybody, not it is tournament friendly and every scrub online thinks they will be the next evo champion.

But then you have things like Rog, just as Mad Bum said, all he needs is two hit confirms and a couple of meter, and done, match over.

Mind you, there is plenty of way to best a Rog, and for SFV favor, there are plenty of other characters that can be busted.

But here is the thing, SFV asks very little of the player to achieve such high damage. And I´m not talking about execution and 1 frame combos, I´m glad SFV took those away, but there is very little creativity in terms on how you play, every Rog plays the same, every Urien plays the same, ect, and there is nothing you can do, because SFV gives you very little tools to be creative.

In the end you have to play the footisies game, which was always big on SF, but that is pretty much all you do, footsies, whiff punish, opstion select on wake up, rinse and repeat.

Even the pros complain about how easy the inputs are and how every character plays the same in the hands of different people. People at the top tier in tournaments complain about SFV. Daigo's over there bitching about how he can't play Ryu the way he wants.

I checked on all of Juri's updates for SFV and she looks horrible. Bottom of the bottom tier, and why? She was maybe top 10 or so in SFIV from what I've searched. She'd show up in tournaments sometimes, but she wasn't overused or anything. Still a niche character. Why overbalance so far in the other direction?

DSP has fucked himself well and good. He's totally unemployable for any company that does a background check or 5-second internet search, and he can't date anyone with internet access for the same reasons.

Eh. He could still mop floors and as for the women, if a loser like Peter Coffin can still manage to find a mentally ill foreign girl in need of an American visa to be his wife after being exposed and utterly humiliated for making up a girlfriend, then I don't see why DSP wouldn't be able to do the same despite having a bash on stream. In fact, the right kind of mentally ill girl might get off on that sort of thing.
