The thing is, they could still do one, just don't call it an anniversary special. They get a group of them together, figure out who the writers are, who the director is, who holds the camera, etc. and then all converge on one place on their own dime for a couple of days to get it done. Then the editor cuts it together and they throw it onto YouTube with an agreement to split the profits evenly.

But that's too much work and they'd rather bitch that someone else isn't doing it for them.

I have 239 subs on my Youtube channel that I haven't updated in 3 years and yet every single video I have ever made has more views than that. Fuck, his highest viewed video has 20k views and most of his recent videos are under 1K. For his sake I hope this isn't his day job, why am I able to get better numbers without even trying with my old shitpost videos? First when Lupa couldn't crack 100k views before #complicit and my highest viewed video was higher than hers and now this guy.

Wasn't he real life friends with Doge which is how he got on the site? And yet he ditched them for Lupa's drama shit, good job.

A lot of these e-celebs are clearly trying to force the meme that they'll pay everything using internet neetbucks. Many have piss-poor numbers, yet act as if they'll make it/already have made it and are big ballin' professional jewtubers.

I think it's a little like those rappers you see selling CDs on the street corners.

I mean, if you're just doing this for fun it's fine to get low views. YouTube is oversaturated to fuck and plenty of videos aren't worth watching. I'm not excluding myself from that lol. I think where I start to see an issue is if you've convinced yourself this is gonna be your (((identity))) and how you make your money. If you don't get lucky or you don't offer something people want, that's not gonna happen with youtube. The audience is big but so is the competition. There have been videos I wanted to do but never did because I saw how overstuffed the directory was. The world really only needs 2-3 good let's plays of any given bideo jame, MAX. As much shit as youtube has clogging its servers, it probably still has those 2-3 good videos there somewhere for anything you'd care to watch.

Nobody's as original or special as they think they are. YouTube is a good example of that. Whatever you're thinking of was probably done better by someone else before you thought of it. So you can either stop jewing and make videos for fun or go back to the real world and work normal jobs.

As a quick example of how overstuffed youtube's directory is, I was trying to find a video on pet rat care because I was curious how it works compared to taking care of other kinds of pets. I had to go through video after video of shitty twitch thots with iphone filters mugging the camera and showing off their terminal GOTIS before I found a single informative video showing the fucking rats and how to take care of them. PetTube is an absolute shitshow and deserves its own thread.
