James does AVGN, but he also made Board James, James & Mike Mondays, and his movie editorials/reviews. The quality is debatable for some of these things (except the movie editorials/reviews), but he at least tried different things outside of his most famous creation. Same with Doge, although his attempts blew up in his face and he ended up scurrying back to the safety of the Nostalgia Critic, but I can't really fault him for trying.

These other INs keep doing the same shit, flail helplessly when routine becomes stifling, and scream to the gods for inspiration.

At the very least, if Lupa keeps in touch with these people and tries to butter them up with sycophantic comments, we should be seeing some shenanigans within the year.

Editorials and stuff are where James shines for me. His interview with Joe Bob Briggs was fantastic, and I enjoy listening to him talk about movies and going into detail on them. He’s less like a pretentious film school geek and more like a guy you’d just casually chat with in a video store. Shame he’s surrounded by the cringe crew.
