Andor's not settled in stone yet - Season 1 is excellent, but Season 2 has plenty of time to shit the bed, just like Mando.

I like most of Solo, and TLJ gets a gold star in trying, even if the movie doesn't come together. Those two are in the guilty pleasure tier, and yeah, Andor's probably the only genuinely good option of the Disney years.

The coping for The Acolyte's cancellation is funny. My favorite has got to be "It was not cancelled because it was never announced in the first place!"

I've seen that. I've also seen defenders of "The Acolyte" squeal that eight episodes (or about 4-5 hours) was not enough for the series to properly develop. Some shows NEED MORE TIME and they only GET GOOD by SEASON 2 or 3.

And they're sort of right, but at $200 million per season, "The Acolyte" does not get that luxury. They got a lot of other luxuries that they traded for that one.

Meanwhile, my hero MovieBlob is all over the place. He tweeted something a few days ago that I agreed with in which he implored fans to not give credit to the anti-woke Youtubers (Geeks & Gamers, etc.) for getting "The Acolyte" cancelled. It only helps those channels and implies that they have power that they don't really have.

Then Blob goes and retweets this. What the fuck, fatty? Are the "toxic fans" the problem or not?

It was canceled because nobody watched it, because it was garbage despite the inflated budget. I'm sorry your fanfic-tier overproduced garbage isn't popular nor economically viable. Perhaps you keep it on fanfics.net next time instead of using DEI money to produce it.

Besides, what exactly can Disney do about it? Ban Nerdrotic from subscribing to Disney+? Send a pissed Mickey to his house to kick his face, Jonas Brothers style? I don't think these people understand the empower dynamic going out there, which is to be expected from the same people who believe the Pathfinder cuck can ban JD Spurdo from playing is niche tabletop RPG with his friends.

That is true for some old shows (especially Star Trek kept being guilty of this), but you can't compare the shows of old with the new stuff. The whole writing and production pipeline is completely different.
On top of that customers have never had a wider selection of shit to watch, and it only gets worse as time goes on. You need a banger of a first season if you don't want to be forgotten.
