Fighting Games

Blazblue looks like one of those superfast ADD combo games that I don't care for much. I like my fighting games to be bit slower

I can't think of too many other characters in Ultra SFIV who get mileage out of their supers. Most everyone else uses EX in place of super. The other characters I play in Ultra all get a lot more out of 4 EXs than one super. Juri in particular has a trash fire super but a godlike EX Pinwheel.

I think the whole 1:4 ratio is too much. Either have EX moves cost 50% meter, or rip off ArcSys and have supers cost 50% meter.

They're kinda all like that these days. I guess you either have to stick with KoF '98 UM, or try Fantasy "Baby's First Fighting Game" Strike.

Or try something relaxing.

Have you ever played the other SNK fighters like Garou, Last Blade 2 and Samsho 2/4? It's hard to think of many mainstream fightan gaems which are good and not old. Even Virtua Fighter 5 was a launch 360 game.

When I look at the tourney scene, it's a lot of old shit and then a few modern games. Vampire Savior is more hype than SF5 imo.

I suppose I kinda forgot about fighting games after I stopped playing game consoles (around the original xbox time). On PC I never bothered to look them up as there wasn't that many PC ports then. I guess Steam has a lot of em now. Should probably invest in a controller fuuuuuuuuug

Keyboard is actually not that bad of a choice as well. Once you're used to it you practically have a hitbox and can pull of shit that is normally not possible.

I thought keyboard was a ridiculous idea that only poor people used who couldn't afford a controller or stick until I heard a ton of people actually prefer it, and it sorta does make sense for inputs.

It makes sense for inputs, but I can't do it very well. And I played all of my emulator shit on keyboard.

I'd hate to do the classic SNK "half-circle plus quarter-circle (or the other way around)" supers with a fucking keyboard.

It's no more complicated than typing and you can do some things ridiculously fast. Try a 720 without jumping on a stick or pad.
