Beast Wars probably got made in its design due to how popular Reboot was. Mainframe Entertainment did the animation for both of them. At least Beast Wars was entertaining.

God did Beast Machines suck ass especially with all its hippie messaging. There is no hint in the franchise about being one with nature bullshit through all of Beast Wars. They only transformed to animals because they was the only things available to transform to. Now suddenly you got a nature vs technology fight going on in Beast Machines. With Megatron hating to go dragon to the series ending with Cybertron going full forest. Complete and total shit.

That was why even though I owned a SNES at the time, never made the jump to N64.
The blocky pixel barf just couldn't measure up to byutiful sprite games like Link to the Past, Terranigma, or even rendered sprite games like Mario RPG (I think) and Donkey Kong Country. I already hated Star Fox, but then again that was pretty much just untextured polygons flying around, with furries.
