Okay the 2000s weren't perfect, there was the Iraq war, threat of terrorism, heighten security at the airports but come on there was alot of good, such as the release of the original Xbox, it was thought that never again a western console would never enter the gaming market yet here it is, you had good music, I'm a fan of techno. And this decade was the creation of social media which some of these in's utilized.

I think he blames it for not being successful or something, imagine decades from now some people are gonna whine about how they miss the 2020's.

Since he is filmbald we will break down what movies came out in these respective decades.

90's was the peak of Tarantino before he went too far up his own ass. I like Kill Bill, but to this date Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown are his best movies. Marty Scorsese had a solid track record that year, too - and even if you don't think so - odds are you still think Goodfellas is a perfect movie.

Solid Best Picture winners like Silence of the Lambs and Braveheart. Jurassic Park, Kino comedy Dumb and Dumber, was the peak of Michael Mann, too. There's more there, likely.

00's had Miyazaki becoming a name (this is around when us burgers got Kiki's and I believe Nausicaa and Castle of the Sky as well - not to mention the formal release of his best movie, Spirited Away - disagreement means you are a certified nigger). Eastwood peaked with Gran Torino, Letters from Iwo Jima and Million Dollar Baby - No Country for Old Men, Lord of the Rings, Crouching Tiger (fuck you, I like it) - Master and Commander, Cache, Black Dynamite, Tropic Thunder.

In both decades SNL was better than it is now - HBO was peaking on TV, a peak it hasn't reached since.

Can't disagree with him on that one. It's the decade The Simpsons went to shit, the entertainment landscape was flooded with remakes, reality tv and Family Guy-wannabes. Traditional hand drawn animation and practical effects becoming rarer and CGI and Flash/Toonboom puppetry becoming more common.
