Futurama did it in one. Certainly within the first thirteen you had something later writers could build on.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 4:13 pmYou'd think 10 episodes would be enough to establish shit and come up with good jokes.

Re: "Cartoons"
I read a post somewhere that said the show would be so much better if the Princess and the Elf swapped personalities.

My problem with this was always that Lisa was actually completely right (of course) so her teacher's complaints are really just a strawman.

Re: "Cartoons"
I'm noticing here in Season 7 we're getting a lot of "this character you thought you knew is really completely different!" stories. This episode was one and there are several in Season 8 as well like "The Principal and the Pauper".Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Fri Aug 24, 2018 10:25 pmMy problem with this was always that Lisa was actually completely right (of course) so her teacher's complaints are really just a strawman.

Was that also the time Moe became a poet, and WIllie a gentleman for some reason?

Re: "Cartoons"
So I tried to give disenchantment a actual watch, I only made it to episode 3 because its fucking garbage. Even if the show picked up steam I don't like the main characters at all.\

Re: "Cartoons"
The writer, much like MovieBob (another retard), confuses 'satire' with 'deconstruction'The fantasy setting has been lampooned many times in the past, but as other reviewers have remarked, the problem with spoofing GoT, at least in this format, is that it's a show that already has satirical and subversive leanings.

Re: "Cartoons"
Meanwhile, Adventure Time ended.
I--and probably thousands of others--thought it had been cancelled already?
You know it's bad when ever Cartoon Neywork didnt want to promote it anymore for like two seasons.
Of course, the Internet is full of praise and thanks (some whom gush in their Twatter that it got them through dark times and how they literally grew up with it or something).
Saw clips of the last episode, and it was still fill of the same self-referential cringe as the rest. Anything that looks like it has potential is instantly spoiled by crummy dialogue and direction.
Pendleton Ward, of course, is happily taking credit for all of it and wallowing in the thanks. When he hilariously quit doing anything active with the show after season 5, blaming all the hard work.

...and still: Spoony did nothing.
