I don't even get what he means when he claims that the mic doesn't suit them? I've never seen that mic anywhere but in a desk setup of podcasters and commentary channels.
It is perfectly suited for that and affordable enough to get industry standard quality sound, which is one of the most important aspects of starting a successful YT channel, podcast or stream.
That's why it sells and most people don't replace it because it's great for that.

For him, it's very expensive as he only gets $229 per video on Patreon so he would have to put out 2 videos in a month (assuming most of his patrons would pay for a second video) to get that $400 mic. Ad revenue isn't much for him considering Socialblade says his whole channel gets 40k views in a month so he gets about $80 a month if Youtube's CPM is still $2.

For just speaking, USB mics are good enough. I use a Blue Yeti all the time and it does just fine.

Those more expensive mics are for singers and musical instruments. They're designed to handle the greater dynamic of sounds, volumes, and range.

For amateur podcasting and YouTube, a decent USB mic is really all you need. It's why the Yeti is used by so many, even the ones that can afford all that expensive equipment.

Yes. A talented creator can make something amazing with a phone camera, Logitech microphone, and $20. Film Turd could have thousands of dollars worth of equipment and still pump out turds. It's like the hair follicles are growing in reverse toward his brain.

Mathew is really trying to get people to feel bad for Hollywood writers. We're supposed to feel bad for the writers of She-Hulk who couldn't write trial scenes for a show that's about an attorney. This makes me wonder how many people even watched She-Hulk? It wouldn't surprise me if people got turned off by how awful the writing was on that show so they stopped watching on episode 2 at the most.
