Everyone's blaming Sony but this was firmly a MARVEL! movie. You won't Marvel, of course. They keep hiring documentary and tv directors to tell "personal, honest" stories in the blandest most un-action packed way possible.

Sony had final veto over every aspect of the film. Plot, characters, everything. The only thing Marvel insisted on was that Spider-Man be Peter Parker, which was obviously contrary to Sony's wishes because his supporting cast in this movie more closely resembles Miles Morales'

I just can't believe Baby-Spider was that far from what Marvel wanted since it's filled with their shitty characters, backstory, and progressive bullshit. Blaming Sony for yet another garbage Marble movie is seriously letting Marble off the hook.

One of the producers is Amy Pascal. In addition to being the 'brains' behind Cisbusters, she also wanted to replace Spider-Man with Spider-Woman and she wanted to make a female superhero movie called 'The Glass Ceiling'. Because you know, if there's really anybody who has the right to complain about how women don't succeed in business, it's a top level movie executive who's been given multiple golden parachutes despite being a total fuck-up.

I saw it yesterday, it was okay for a dumb action movie despite having a moment that caused me to gringe in disgust for the first time while at a cinema movie

For those wondering, the mid-credits stinger is just a weird scene where one guy hides Parker's identity from another guy and smirks. Online nerds claim it's setting up a Sinister Six movie, but it's just odd. After the credits, Captain America walks out and makes fun of you for waiting like a dumbass.

I forgot to add that Flash Thompson is Indian in Spider-Baby. Browner than brown. Also, Parker goes to a special genius school or something, which is filled with Asians (makes sense) but is at least 50% black. He's also only attracted to black women.
