I'm inclined to believe the lawyer because this goes to a discussion the internet has been having about Alex Jones for many years. The question being whether he's crazy on purpose or legit crazy.

I think he's intentionally crazy, for money, because he knows that's why people watch. People want to see him rend his garments and scream about reptilians. AFAIK the only reason people even sometimes take him seriously now is because the mainstream media fucked up so bad on their election coverage.

I've heard stories about how Bill O'Reilly is apparently quite intelligent and reasonable away from his tv show. I'm sure the same is true for Alex Jones.

That's true but it is a fact that Alex Jones has been backpedaling a lot since PizzaGate. He was extremely vocal about it and then he suddenly changed his mind? I don't think he'd just drop it and say the opposite unless there was a reason. I think it's that he sees Trump as a way to get more mainstream and so he's trying to distance himself from fear mongering. Even if I don't listen to that video I still think he's a fraud. He compromises his own ideals and changes his opinions to suit the situation. You can't trust a scumbag like that.

I think a lot of fringe nutbags saw the mainstream media's failure during the election cycle as their big chance to gain some notoriety and respectability. Mr. "You Want Me Shot" Stefan Molyneux was one of those I saw getting a lot of retweets and attention during the election, despite being a nutter.
