I guess mahoushit has entered it's post-ironic self-aware phase, like isekaishit has done for the better part of the 21th century? After Gushing over Magical Girls (aka Softcore Ryona for Pussies), there's now this: a manga/animu where the magical girls are corporate drones and basically glorified pest control (if the pest was more likely to eat people than usual).
It starts out with stabs and jokes at corporate culture, as our MC goes from one failed job interview to the next. Due to a monster-related incident during one of those interviews, she ends up as the new magical girl for a magical girl start-up company - because everyone there is impressed by her literally autistic memorization skills.

I guess it's a fun and light-hearted concept, but as our resident mahoufag I have to deduct some points for execution:

• Transformations actually take as much time as it looks. The MC even had time for a short discussion between the time she started the transformation and when it actually started in earnest.
• Magic is basically just high-tech, and less in the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha way and more in the "the magical wands come with a literal tablet app" kind of way.
• Speaking of magic wands, they're apparently the only/primary magical girl weapon, and they're ridiculously tiny. They're about the size of spoons.
• Every magical girl rides around on a futuristic broom, which might just be a rip-off from the Japanese tabletop RPG Night Wizard! (except lamer 'cause the brooms in that game also double as a weapon).
• If you hate stupid power systems you probably won't last long, and I'll likely drop it if this doesn't improve.
  What exactly am I bitching about? Apparently monsters are only impressed by the right kind of attack magic, so the magical girls have to programm spells on-the-fly by shouting a bunch of nonsense technobabble and parameter values like it's some kind of weird-ass puzzle game.
  JFC. Can't you like preprogram some cookie-cutter shit and actually give it a cool attack name, instead of whatever this autistic shit is? Wouldn't even be out of place in the setting considering every single facet of a transformation sequence has been punched in by some otaku.

However, there is light at the end of the tunnel: two of the supporting characters are absolutely peak: A creepy computer geek, and a creepy crossdresser - aka Literally Me and Future Me.
