You are being completely ridiculous if you think republicans in rural Kansas are so worked up over DOGE that they are protesting republicans at town halls. Trump got 85% of the vote in the county this town hall was held in.

Read this article about it. They admit most of the people in attendance drove hours to get there from eastern Kansas and the two people interviewed, Jason and Tracy Munk, are the administrators of the Northwest Kansas Democrats page on social media.

Kansas is a small, rural state. Even in Iowa, since its a lot of small towns, everyone I know is usually fine driving an hour/however long if they need to.

It says in the article the guy isn't holding town halls in Eastern Kansas. He's also pre-screening questions. Clearly more than a little spooked.

I'll agree this has no bearing on what'll happen with that senate seat; the house will flip, but it usually does.

Eastern Kansas is where most of the Democrats live in that state. I'm not saying Dems shouldn't have a voice at town halls but Democrats being pissed at the Trump admin enough to travel to a townhall(wearing antiTrump and antiMusk shirts and hats) to heckle a Republican senator isn't much of a story. This doesn't look like a situation where Trump voters are flipping.
