It's a magical girl show, except everyone dresses up in worryingly age-inappropriate skintight capeshit outfits instead of pretty dresses because that's easier to animate in 3D.
The main villain is basically pulling a Kamen Rider Fourze by corrupting random blokes into villains - except what he does is more like brainwashing so there's less actual grooming involved.
Also pretty much all the girls look anorexic, which together with the tight outfits makes everything extra creepy. Whatever they were going for just doesn't really translate well into 3D.
There's a very baffling storyline where they go to the USA and meet actual capeshitter girls in Iron Man suits because the US citizens wouldn't accept female superheroes.

The show eventually lost steam because the plot is more capeshit-y than animu (aka it just goes on forever), but who knows what the fabled sixth season will bring.
