Never mind the meat. It's the discord that's the problem.

You can not travel for hundreds or thousands of years - and that's what it would take - in a vessel where nothing can ever go catastrophically wrong with a bunch of arguing faggots.

Thus any civilisation like that would either be borderline non-sentient or so 100% agreeable only with themselves that any civilisation even remotely different or diverse of anything would seem so offensive they would eradicate them.
Not just without feeling guilty but out of a vital urge.
