That's possibly the dumbest shit I've heard yet. There is never a lack of wind!
Hell, half the wind turbines are switched off even when there is wind!
Second, there are no rolling blackouts in Germany. Never happened, at all. I've witnessed two local blackouts in my entire lifetime and the longest one lasted for two hours.

Every single fucking turbine could fail and we'd still have enough electricity that nobody would ever notice.

Most of our lines here are above-ground, so we deal with outages whenever the weather gets mildly pissy. The weather here is mild most of the time, but the infrastructure is so shit that last time we had an ice storm, I believe many places were out of power for at least a week. Solid.
