MTG has been incredibly boring and bland for ages now. When they started with their universal art style is when it all went downhill.

And niggers everywhere. I'm pretty cool with a set Africa-inspired like Mirage - one of the best sets mechanically designed by the way - but when you do a Vikings inspired set like Kaldheim and half the elves are niggers, plus the main planeswalket character is the annoying nigger lesbian that no one likes, period, plus awful mechanics that kill an entire archetype for two years (midrange) making the Standard format a slog to go through, AND you still haven't fixed MTG's core design problem (a high percentage of games that end due toana screwing or flooding) - it becomes unbearable.

Also probably the most top tier character in Heritage for the Future that was still tournament legal.

New New World of Darkness?
The World of Dorkness Darkness is in a very weird spot atm, mostly thanks to the rights now belonging to Paradox Interactive. When they're not trying (and failing) to turn the IP into a video game franchise, they're licensing shit out to make a "5th edition" of some World of Darkness line (even if that line never had 4 previous editions; I guess this is some kind of D&D5E mockbuster?).
By and large these new editions have been unmitigated disasters, made by activist lunatics that shit all over the old lore. Even more insulting is that these come after the 20th Anniversary editions, which have been very well received.
V5 (aka Vampire: The Masquerade) was written by edgy LARPers who kept explaining IRL tragedies as vampire keikakus, which eventually caused Paradox to raze the entire writing team to the ground and replace them with less batshit insane people.
W5 (aka Werewolf: The Apocalypse) made an entire clan unplayable, because of course the *Germanic* werewolves are now all Nazis - which the book notes makes them more irredeemably evil than the werewolves working for the cosmic horror that wants to devour all of reality.
H5 (aka Hunter: The Reckoning) doesn't actually have much to do with the OG Hunter. It's some weirdoes' piss-take at the New World of Darkness (later known as Chronicles of Darkness) version Hunter: The Vigil. Like in Vigil, there are several different monster hunter organizations - except they're unplayable because this is effectively an Antifa game and professional monster hunters are basically cops, right?
So far there has been no new version of Mage: The Ascension, but you can bet your ass it will be more like YIIK (which already has a parody RPG adaptation) than anything else. Unless the writers go crazy with queershit.
Now there's still Chronicles of Darkness, but Paradox doesn't care about that line. Onyx Path (formerly known as White Wolf) still releases books for it, but those were announced years ago. Eventually they will run out, and without an okay from Daddy Paradox the line will just end.
Still, they have focused their attention on their other lines like Exalted or Scion, but there's still World of Darkness fans to fleece. Enter the Kickstarter link at the top. They're just making their own version of WoD with the numbers filed off. It also seems their following the Exalted: Essence model of just dumping all playable options in one book.
Will it pay off, though?
