Afro Samurai is so 2007. Or even 1998 if you go by the manga. It is hopelessly outdated in terms of proper representation and diversity.
Plus it's the creation of a (straight) Japanese guy, which is only marginally better than a (straight) white guy. His depiction of blackness shall never be accepted.
