I don't think anyone here cares about Scott Pilgrim. We're a bit too old for that.

Only to the extent that he's the character who codified a certain breed of nu-male cuck. And of course Ramona Whores ruined an entire generation of women (allegedly; I'd say they were already pretty much ruined way before that crap).

The relevance falls mostly within the late Gen-Y to early Gen-Z. Those kids were doomed to begin with.

Should've watched Naruto instead.

Did life imitate art, or was it the other way around? Truly a modern mystery for the ages.

(My bet is on the latter, and that Ramona is based on some hoe the writer had the hots for when he was a 20-something incel)

Just in case anyone was interested in the new Scott Pilgrim "anime" for some reason: It pulls a Masters of the Universe: Revelation and "kills" off Scott in favor of turning it into the Ramona Show

Also time travel, because that's always a good idea.
I watched the first ep and gave up on it. The comic does have a very different ending than the movie so maybe I'll put my nose to the grindstone and chug through it, but I only read the comic through once.

I once perused the first volume.
A dramatic representation of me reading this most influential of comics:

Maybe it gets better once the "boss fights" actually start, but I can barely tolerate actual shounenshit, let alone knockoff versions.

My understanding is that it's some retarded reboot and sequel at the same time. You know like FF7 Remake. Creater of Scott Pilgrim must have thought that was a great idea instead of a retarded one.

Just a reminder, Bryan Lee O'Malley had a co-writer.

Scott Pilgrim was never good to begin with, so not much of a loss really.

Apparently Comic Scott yanked Cartoon Scott from the past because he and Comic Ramona got divorced or something, which is what caused everyone to think that Cartoon Scott is dead.

I think this is less FF7R and more your typical Current Year obsession with multiverses.
