A mercenary group whose leader is having public dick waving contests with the regular Russian military due to ammo shortages that may or may not be true.

Based upon what I read, it sounds very much like they do. The way I heard Russia is using their troops, is to send in suicide squads of prisoners to dig trenches and fortifications under fire. The prisoner-mercs may die, but their lives are not valued by the Russians in any case.

Dude, who knows at this point? We don't even have the score board or who holds what. Only gayops hearsay from either side.

The only thing that is for sure is that Russia has more troops. Unless Ukraine can somehow get foreign reinforcement, they will have to conceed territory eventually.

Oh and let's not forget that none of the fighting has taken place on Russian territory, save for a few missiles.
They haven't fallen but effectively Ukraine has been in the corner getting pummeled the entire time. They seem to still believe NATO will eventually step in - they tried forcing it several times - but as long as that doesn't happen, the end is foretold already.
